Jerash

On Saturday, August 23 we went to Jerash just north of Amman. It was so impressive! It is the biggest, best Roman ruins outside of Rome.  It was really hot! I wish the kids were a little older and could appreciate it more. 

This was an old church. The picture doesn't show it well but the mosaic tile floor was very neat.

In the middle circle. This was one of my favorite spots. The old stone street was so fun to imagine what it would have been like 2000 year ago.  

All the kids were so hot and sweaty.

With all the towering buildings and pillars, I'm not quite sure why but this road was my favorite.

 Fun to think of what a busy street this must have been 2000 years ago!

 We are huge suckers. There were young boys all over selling gum and they were good. Josh also got he and Hannah hats.

We want to go visit again  when it cools down. We loved it!
