Israel Trip Day 7- Jerusalem

March 15, 2015- Sunday

The hotel we stayed at had a bounce house right out by where we ate breakfast. The kids really wanted to go play for a bit before we wore them out.
Josh haad hurt his back the evening before, so we were waiting for him to find some medicine in the old city. Michael took this picture.
We got a horn. By the middle of the day the kids were really good at it and it needed a rest in my backpack.

Joseph found a coin.
It's like a maze walking through the Old City. Such narrow street and so many different shops, and people.

We walked on the Ramparts Walk. It is on the top of the wall that goes from the Jaffa gate to the temple mount.

It was such a neat view from up there.

It was so green and beautiful!
The kids resting, looking at the Dome of the Rock.

The Ramparts walk ends at Zions Gate. We walked out of the Old City to Hezekiah's tunnel.
All the walk ways and stone are so worn down and smooth. Joshua enjoyed his slide,
but forgot the brakes.
Hyrum found a nice seat on a broken curb.
Back at the tunnel.
My cute boys already for the dark!
Inside the cave.
Going through the tunnel again. Hannah walked this time. I'm a mean wife and wouldn't let Josh carry anything! I didn't want his back any worse than it was.  Fortunately his back made it though the day without too much trouble.

Hyrum again fell asleep in the tunnel.

The kids played in the water. Joseph was jumping from pillar to pillar and slipped into the water. I got it on video and showed him. He thought it was so funny. He wanted to send it to America's Funniest Home Videos. He was sure it would win. On our long walk back he and the others talked about how they would spend the prize money. They are so fun!
We had to walk up a beautiful long road to get back to the Zion gate.

The kids did great! the walked and walked and now had to walk cold and wet. We were so proud of out tough little troopers.
After changing at the hotel we went back out for some dinner. It was pretty bad.
We walked around a bit.
WE found this cool spice tower.
More butcher shops.
After a full day of walking the kids went back to the hotel and played on the bounce house until bed time. It was cold!
