Ajlun Castle

We went to Ajlun Castle today. We all really enjoyed it! 

The castle is on top of the hill in the distances.  It was about an hour north west of Amman. 

 We got there about lunch time so first we sat on a hill just bellow the castle and ate our lunch.

 It's higher elevation and much cooler (maybe low 70's). So nice!

 The ceilings were really neat! 

 This was a VERY steep narrow staircase.

It lead up here. We were so high up. It was incredible how far we could see up there.

Hannah was afraid to go down the stairs. They were so worn that they were actually pretty slick.

 Some of the walls have almost like open pipes going down the walls. I don't know what they were for. 

Hyrum wanted to get down and go were he wanted.  

The kids found the "king and queen's thrown's"! Silly kids!

Inside the museum section the kids found these "dragon egg shells"!

There always has to be that random Jordanian who wants a picture with Hannah! She loves the attention!
