San Diego trip Oct. 2008

We spent the first afternoon at the beach. It was perfect weather and the beach is on the navy base in San Diego so there was almost no one there! The was an airport/ landing strip right next to the beach and jets and plane were landing so close, it was so cool!

Katie spent almost the entire time building a sandcastle/pool. She and Joseph tried out the ocean for may be 10 minutes. They definitely prefer the beach!
Joshua loved the sand. The little "pool" that we made was perfect for him!

Joseph played with his dinosaurs the whole time. He was very scared of the sea gulls. The pesky sea gulls ruined all our snack with in the first 5 minutes. It was all in bags so I thought it was safe. When I tried to get the kids to chases them away with me Joseph refused!

A few weeks ago we went to Sea World with the kids. Active duty military can get in free once a year, yeah! The kids loved it!

We got away with a sea world trip for $4.00 on Cotton candy! The kids loved it. This is at our favorite show, the sea lion show.

The polar bear

We were hitting everything at the prefect time. This whale was showing off for his food, it was awesome. There were 2 of them and they were doing tricks for probably 15 minutes.

We missed this last year because we thought we had to hit all the show and planned this last. Of course by that time they were asleep. so this year we did it first and they LOVED it!

It is huge rope net area with tunes and suspended bridges and ends with a slide. It is big enough for adults to go in too!
